"Develop a 5-frame narrative inspired by the imagery presented
within one of three given paintings.
• A Violent Forcing of the Frog by Hieronymus Bosch
• Our Town by Stephen Lowry
• Hunters in the Snow by Pieter Bruegel the Elder
Take note of the imagery, figures, characters, setting, mood and
atmosphere. The paintings should be a starting point for your ideas,
your story may expand on a particular character, be inspired by the
landscape, atmosphere or situation."

"Our Town" By LS Lowry
- Dull, almost sepia, colours.
- Despite movement, atmosphere and mood seems calm almost melancholic.
- Subject matter is everyday, figures and buildings
- Lack of Cars suggests and earlier time period, (1965)
- Coats and overcast sky communicates a colder season, Autumn or Winter.
- Figures gestures suggest movement, purpose and speed.
"Hunters in the Snow" by Pieter Bruegel the Elder
- Beautiful landscape
- Posture of huntsmen creates tension, creating a tense mood for the whole piece.
- Tree's create a sense of perspective and depth within the landscape
- Dogs wear tails low, as if defensive
- Bird on a branch, by comparison causes ambiguity surrounding the flying creature to the right of the sky.
